WE DID IT LONGFELLOW!

LINDEN PARK IS A GO!
Pat yourselves on the back for a WELL EARNED WIN!
After four long years of grass roots organizing, meetings and endless hours of follow-up, Oakland City Council approved the funding for Linden Park tonight and construction will begin THIS AUGUST!

Initially we had the support of Jane Brunner's office and a tremendous ally in Zac Wald, and thankfully Dan Kalb chose to champion our cause and help us see it through! THANK YOU!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Yuri Jewett for managing the project from our very first community visioning session so many moons ago all the way through to speaking on our behalf tonight at City Council! And thank you to ALL of our amazing Greening & Beautification Committee volunteers, Linden Park volunteers and NOCCS volunteers - it truly takes a village!!

We are going to have one hell of a celebration in Linden Park when the park is finished!!
